My Man and His Machine

I just had to post this shot of Glenn and his new toy. I shot it with my iphone, and with the sun flare and the dust and that hat..... well, there's my modern day cowboy coming round the bend! He has been busy grooming the mammoth meadow that is to be our wedding "venue". There are four camping areas he has mowed out, that radiate from the central one that we use now - which is where our ceremony will be held. He also had to mow out a large area where the food tent will be, and of course, the "aisle". The rest of the meadow has been left natural, and the wildflowers are really starting to rock right now. We are going out there to camp tomorrow night and I'm excited!

Potluck

After our ceremony, we will be celebrating our union by hosting a potluck. Rather than a gift, please bring your favorite signature dish to share. And in keeping with the abundance of the Harvest Moon weekend in Vermont, in appreciation, I would like to compile a downloadable cook book of all the recipes that were shared. If you could jot down the recipe you will be bringing and have it with you the day of the wedding, that would be great. We will be providing base and fill in food, so if you could also send a quick email about the dish you will be bringing, it would help me to plan a balanced spread. There will be chafing dishes available, so just let me know if you need one. We will have kegs of various Vermont brews (yeah Vermont brews!!!) and assorted wine, but if you want to brown bag it, feel free to. We will have mixers on hand. There will also be four fire pits with areas for grilling available in the camping spaces.

So, all and all, I think there will be mucho food, drink and merriment to be had!

Time is Precious

Had we known how this week would unfold, we surely would have waited to send out our wedding invitations. But you just don't know at any given moment what's around that bend, or how much time you have left to spend with friends and loved ones. What a sharp reminder of how precious time is. We will miss our friend and fellow artist, who was such an inspiration.

- will you be camping?

We understand that it is hard to commit to camping in October without knowledge of the weather conditions, but if it is a definite yes or no, and even maybe, that will help us plan the space. And even if you maybes decide at 2 am that night you want (need) to camp, no worries. The meadow will accommodate all!Look for more to follow about camping.

So...how did you two meet?

And a very special shout out to The Paramount Theatre and it's little brick hole in the wall for bringing us together. Who knew back in November 2006, when we hung that first show together, that our destiny  would be sealed. We will be forever grateful to all the artists who were part of our journey and, of course, the staff at the Paramount for all of their support. Eric and Alice, you sure went through a lot with us. 

We are so happy to be able to pass the torch on to Beth and Wendy. They are doing a fabulous job.

Oh, and to the Paramount -if you ever want to get rid of that couch............

Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to our wedding blog. Hopefully it will provide you with all the information you will need to prepare you for our event, or in some cases help you to determine if you really even want to  attend. Just kidding. We would love all of you to be present to help us celebrate our marriage, whether it be just for the ceremony and the merriment to follow, or to camp with us that evening and wake up in the meadow the next morning. Our goal was to make this wedding as creative, fun, exciting and meaningful as our life has been since we met each other.
